专业概况

在这里学什么？ Biomedical science explores how cells, organs and systems function in the human body to help inform the identification, research, monitoring and treatment of diseases. As one of the broadest areas of modern science, it draws upon several disciplines including anatomy, biochemistry, cell biology, pathology and physiology. As a student on this programme, you will gain a solid theoretical understanding in each of these subjects, as well as a range of professional skills which are underpinned by comprehensive laboratory experience. You will also develop your research skills which culminates in a piece of original study in your final year. Whether you are aspiring to a career working in a hospital laboratory, in biotechnology, the pharmaceutical industry or other health-related role, this degree will prepare you for practice.

为来自中国的学生设计 These must include Biology and Chemistry and one other subject.While Biology and Chemistry are both required at Grade B or above, where Grade A or A* is achieved in either Biology or Chemistry (or both Biology and Chemistry), the third A Level subject will be accepted at Grade C or above.A Levels in General Studies, Critical Reasoning, Citizenship and Key Skills will not be accepted.
