This programme will give you a deeper understanding and the practical skills for a career with a significant impact in the modern world. Studying Neuroscience, you’ll discover how we learn and remember, how the brain controls the body, and how the brain can be targeted by disease but in some instances can repair itself.Our Data Science graduates are trained from first principles in Computer Science and Mathematics. The two disciplines are blended seamlessly throughout your degree. You will study fundamental mathematical and statistical techniques alongside modern software development methods. You will have the opportunity to apply your learning immediately using real-world datasets in our cutting-edge computing laboratories.You will undertake significant development projects, including a final year data science dissertation led by academics with research specialities in artificial intelligence, big data and statistical modelling. Additional modules that cover advanced technical topics such as cloud computing, as well as academic research, industry-focused professional skills and practical problem-solving ensure you are fully equipped for an exciting and intellectually stimulating journey as a Data Scientist.On this programme, you will combine the key principles of Neuroscience with the ability to choose specific areas of the subject that may interest you. There are interesting related disciplines such as neuroanatomy, neuropharmacology and neuropathology.Working in diverse ways, including in our superb labs, you’ll develop independent research skills as you learn to acquire, interpret and analyse data from multiple sources. You will also understand how neuroscience can help us understand medical problems and improve the quality of life. Your degree will open up exciting careers in sectors as varied as healthcare, scientific research, pharmacology, IT, publishing and more.Graduates can go on to work in diverse industries such as finance, healthcare, transport, business intelligence and e-commerce, as well as further academic study. Additional experience of research and self-directed learning gives our students the broader abilities needed to respond to the latest developments in this fast-changing field in the years ahead. Our Data Science degree is also great preparation for employment in related fields including consultancy, software development, accountancy, engineering and teaching.With Neuroscience, you might choose to work as a research scientist in academia or the drug industry, or work as a clinical neuroscientist in the hospital sector. With further training, you could also go on to become a clinical psychologist, psychiatrist, doctor, pharmacologist or systems analyst.

ABB-BBC courses = Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate with 80% overall plus Gaokao with 75%; BCC-CCC courses = Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate with 75% overall plus Gaokao with 70%; Applicants to courses with a subject specific requirement will be considered on an individual basis. OR an appropriate pre-university/ foundation year programme. IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each subtest.
