In this case, your programme will be made up of a combination of modules from both History and Psychology.The History and Psychology combination offers students the opportunity to develop a lifelong appreciation of the historical past as well as its influence onthe societies of today and tomorrow.In History you will study the way humans have always tried to organise their lives – physically and conceptually, individually and together. Such an appreciation of the past is essential to understanding where we are today and how we are attempting to shape the future, and even societies in the very distant past can be highly relevant. This involves thinking about human motivations in which psychology plays an important role.Studying Psychology involves exploring and researching why humans feel, think and act in the ways that they do. You will learn about what the latest psychology research, including studies published by our own friendly and approachable staff, tells us about human behaviour from social, developmental, biological and cognitive perspectives. We will show you how to design and conduct your own psychological studies in our well-equipped labs using a range of techniques including interviews, surveys and experiments.You’ll develop the sort of enquiring, open-minded and creative attitude which employers are looking for, leading to potential careers options in a range of fields including teacher, librarian, archivist, heritage manager, barrister, solicitor, journalist or researcher. The course is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), enabling you to access training and careers in professional psychology, such as clinical psychology, forensic psychology, and educational psychology (subject to meeting the BPS criteria).

ABB-BBC courses = Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate with 80% overall plus Gaokao with 75%; BCC-CCC courses = Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate with 75% overall plus Gaokao with 70%; Applicants to courses with a subject specific requirement will be considered on an individual basis. OR an appropriate pre-university/ foundation year programme. IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each subtest.
