The Foundation Year is a well established and successful course which offers progression onto the full range of health degrees at Keele. The Foundation Year offers an opportunity for students to enter a degree course in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences who do not meet the necessary criteria for direct entry. This is often because they have not studied the subjects required or because they have gained non-traditional qualifications. The programme of modules is tailored to the student’s chosen degree route.After you have completed your Foundation Year, you could progress on to the Public Health course. The Public Health BSc (Hons) degree focuses on improving the health of entire communities and populations by identifying how to manage killer epidemics, improving physical, social and mental health outcomes and the wellbeing of people across local, regional, national and international populations, with emphasis on reducing health inequalities. The focus of the Public Health BS(c) Hons is on improving the health of entire communities and populations; this involves encouraging the improvement of physical, social and mental health outcomes and wellbeing of people within and across defined local, regional, national or international populations, with emphasis on reducing health inequalities. The programme will align with the Public Health Skills and Knowledge Framework and clear links with employment opportunities (for example, public health practitioner, sexual health advisor, health promoter, research assistant) and further academic development (for example, Master's in Public Health, the public health training programmes).The Public Health programme aligns with the Public Health Skills and Knowledge Framework and links with local and global employment opportunities and/or with further academic development.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students must have for Undergraduate Year 1: Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate PLUS Gaokao. ABB-BBC courses = Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate with 80% overall plus Gaokao with 75%; BCC-CCC courses = Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate with 75% overall plus Gaokao with 70%; Applicants to courses with a subject specific requirement will be considered on an individual basis. OR an appropriate pre-university/ foundation year programme. IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each subtest.
