You’ll graduate with RIBA Part 1 exemption – the first step towards becoming an architect.– This course has been listed in the Domus Magazine Top 50 Architecture Schools in Europe.– Kingston students often feature in prestigious national and international awards, such as the AJ Student Prize and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) President’s Medals. **About this course**Architecture has the power to transform communities and enhance society. It is rewarding, practical, creative and leads to a wealth of career opportunities.On this course, you’ll develop skills and knowledge through tackling practical design projects. Projects are often set by external organisations, giving you real experience of working for a professional client. These projects take up at least 50 per cent of your time on the course.You’ll work in our purpose-built architecture studios, learning skills such as casting, pencil and charcoal rendering, detailed largescale model-making, computer based graphics and CAD drawing. You’ll also examine the cultural, historical, social, sustainable, material and technical issues that concern architecture.
