专业概况

This degree provides students with expertise in nutrition and also the skills, both generic and specialist, expected of today's graduates. These include self-awareness skills, communication skills, interpersonal skills, numeracy skills, research and information literacy skills, creativity and problem solving skills and management and leadership skills. The goal is to prepare students for graduate employment, research, further study and lifelong learning. If you are interested in nutrition and the role it can play in human development, this broad-based degree, accredited by the Association for Nutrition, is ideal. You will have the opportunity to specialize in areas of applied and clinical nutrition, such as the role of nutrition in health and disease.

The course team actively explores the use of technology within and beyond the classroom in order to further support students' learning and improve the overall experience of studying on the course. We use technology side by side with the more traditional teaching and assessment methods highlighted above. They work together, rather than replacing one another, enabling students to learn at their own time, pace and place, on and off-site. Coursework is designed to be achieved within the set amount of learning hours for each module and is appropriate to the level of study. We encourage a professional work ethic, which includes how to manage your time. A range of additional support is available to students who require it via the Academic Support Centre and personal tutors. If you would like to study one of our science degrees at Kingston University but are not yet ready to join the first year of a BSc (Hons) course, you can include an extra foundation year within your chosen degree.
