在这里学什么？ **Course description** Our-four-year BSc Human Resources and Business Management course, with an integrated placement year, examines the role of the individual in an organisation as well as aspects of organisational structure, culture and change that will prepare you for a successful career in HR.As organisations change, grow, divide, develop and operate internationally it is key that an organisation understands its staff and culture as it is central to their performance and effectiveness. This course considers how people, processes and structures interrelate. It focuses on the crucial part played by individuals and groups in organisational processes, such as decision making, planning and managing new technology. The course enables you to develop an appreciation of the central importance of human resource strategies for organisations. Human Resources and Business Management graduates are in demand from a wide range of organisations that are in need of managers who understand the human side of the business.Our recent graduates have been successful in securing roles at well-known companies such as Great Ormond Street Hospital, Mercer, Aston Martin and BMW in roles such as Medical HR Assistant, Talent Analyst, HR Consultant and Human Resource Management Co-ordinator.**Key course benefits**- As part of your degree you’ll undertake a professional placement, gaining valuable practical experience in the field of your chosen subject area- BSc Human Resources and Business Management is a specialised degree, giving graduates an Associate Fellow Membership at the CIPD on completion- BSc Human Resource Management (previous title) achieved 93% Overall Student Satisfaction in the 2018 National Student Survey- Five years after graduating, employed Aston business graduates earn an average of £35,900 (Longitudinal Education Outcomes (LEO), 2018)**Course details**- Year 1 - In your first year you will study a range of topics designed to give you a solid foundation and knowledge of management. You’ll consider the economic, financial, human and legal issues managers deal with, and the tools and techniques they use. You’ll be introduced to the key areas of business, as well as gaining a solid HR foundation. Subject areas include Skills for HRM and Introduction to Organisational Behaviour.- Year 2 - From your second year, you will begin to specialise in human resource management issues, and develop the theoretical knowledge to consider the ways in which people behave and contribute to organisations. Subject areas include Solving HR issues, Psychology and Work and Government and Society.- Year 3 – This is when you will undertake a professional placement or choose an international study opportunity at one of our partner institutions. This year is compulsory for all UK and EU students.- Year 4 – You will explore how organisations relate to their wider context from both a socio-psychological and socio-economic perspective. In particular you will examine how changes in the external environment (social, financial, competitive and legislative) relate to the processes of management. Subject areas include Strategic HRM, Employment Law for HRM and Employee Relations.
