专业概况

在这里学什么？

When you combine engineering and IT, you'll gain the knowledge and skills needed to plan, manage, design and build engineering projects. You'll also develop communication, research and critical analysis skills that will make you highly employable. In fact, two of the fastest growing sectors for jobs growth are engineering and IT. With these two disciplines at its core, this double degree will set you up for a wide choice of career opportunities.

You'll develop the knowledge and practical skills in planning, management, design and build of engineering projects, with your choice of major allowing you to specialise in the area you're most interested in.

You'll also achieve a high level of core IT technical knowledge and a specialisation in either information systems or networks and security.

You'll graduate with a degree accredited by the national engineering body, Engineers Australia, and by the Australian Computer Society. You'll be set to work in local, national and international sectors across complex systems and projects.

Employment opportunities include roles in civil construction, engineering consulting, manufacturing, mining, oil, corporate IT, research, technology companies and government authorities.

Majors

Changes effective for students commencing from Trimester 2 2020 onwards:

Engineering: Civil Engineering; Electronic Engineering; Environmental Engineering; Mechanical Engineering.

Information technology: Information Systems; Networks and Security; Software development.

Alternatively, you can choose not to complete a major and select from an extensive list of information technology electives.

Flexibility

Tailor your timetable - Even if you study full-time on-campus, you may still be able to customise your degree to suit your needs. From a range of tutorial times to online access to lectures and other course material, we're here to help you fit study in with your work and life commitments.

Global mobility

Students may be eligible to do an international field trip, organised by the academic staff. This may count towards a component of the degree, depending on its structure.

为来自中国的学生设计 Successful completion of the National College Entrance Examination (Gao Kao) with a minimum of 63% of the overall maximum score. IELTS: minimum score of 6.5, with no subscore less than 6.0 or TOEFL: a minimum score of 575 or Internet-based (IBT) TOEFL: a score of 79 (no sub-score less than 19) or Pearson Test of English (Academic): an overall score of 58 with no score less than 50 or ISLPR: no score less than 3+ in each skill of the ISLPR.
