Our river basins or catchments have been progressively transformed over time. We've built cities, cleared land for food production, and this has had profound consequences for our catchments.

With this specialist degree you'll learn to combine and use scientific, engineering and economic knowledge to planning ways to protect, restore and rehabilitate our catchments. You'll develop the leading edge knowledge and skills needed to make a difference in this rapidly developing area of professional practice. The Master of Catchment Science is the only catchment-dedicated postgraduate degree in the world. Hosted by the International Water Centre and developed and delivered in collaboration with Griffith University.

We've spoken to the industry about the kinds of skills they're looking for to fill the roles required. This degree provides the right mix of new knowledge, covering natural sciences, monitoring, data analysis, modelling and economics. We offer consistent opportunities for work-integrated learning along with a week-long study field trip.

The Master of Catchment Science enables you to accelerate your career in work related to managing and mitigating the catchment impacts of urban development. You'll also develop the skills and knowledge for protecting drinking water quality in reservoirs, mitigating flood impacts, reducing waterway pollution and degradation, protecting sensitive coastal receiving environments, and restoring waterway and landscape vegetation and ecology.

为来自中国的学生设计 For standard entry into most master degrees, you must hold a bachelor degree or higher (or equivalent) from a recognized university. You must meet minimum Grade Point Average entry requirements. IELTS: minimum score of 6.5, with no subscore less than 6.0 or TOEFL: a minimum score of 575 or Internet-based (IBT) TOEFL: a score of 79 (no sub-score less than 19) or Pearson Test of English (Academic): an overall score of 58 with no score less than 50 or ISLPR: no score less than 3+ in each skill of the ISLPR.
