The MRes in Criminal Justice is a pre-doctoral training programme designed to provide a critical, research-led approach to the study of aspects of criminal justice, together with training in the key research skills appropriate for doctoral-level study.
- Undertake a suite of substantive modules offered in conjunction with the Criminal Justice LLM
- This MRes is an approved pathway for ESRC funding, enabling you to apply for ESRC 1+3 funding to cover the MRes and a PhD
- Study within the Criminal Justice Centre (CJC), a forum for research and learning in criminal justice, and attend seminars, lectures, workshops and conferences
- Your fellow students will come from the UK and more than 80 other countries, each able to draw on prior academic and professional experience from different jurisdictions

- The Postgraduate School of Law Centre in Lincoln's Inn Fields and the Graduate Centre at Mile End
- Queen Mary’s excellent Law Library and European Documentation Centre
- Free access to online databases and collections including: LexisNexis, Westlaw, Justis, Eur-lex, Hein-Online and many more
- Access to the University of London’s Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (IALS) and the Library at Senate House
