Overview

This course is designed to provide you with a critical and reflective overview of a broad range of financial management practices and the knowledge necessary to make decisions in real-world business situations.

You will discover how to balance risk and reward in competitive, unpredictable environments and learn how companies use financial information to make vital decisions. You'll develop an in-depth understanding of the roles of the financial managers and analysts who deal with vast sums of money worldwide.

Learning Outcomes

The course is designed to integrate a deep understanding of the subject matter with the development of key skills and competencies needed to adapt to a rapidly changing, dynamic and competitive global marketplace. Upon completion, you will be able to:

Balance risk and reward in competitive and unpredictable environments and understand how companies use financial information to make vital decisions. Observe and interpret financial markets while implementing best practices in financial management to make plans, organise projects, monitor outcomes and provide financial leadership.

Demonstrate strong financial management and forecasting abilities, ensuring the competitiveness of a company and increasing its value in the changing global economic environment.

Learn teamwork skills, the ability to understand the interests of different groups, argue and conduct discussions, and strengthen communication and conflict management skills.
