Prepare, analyze and communicate relevant information to those making business decisions. Through accounting, you will focus on an organization’s resources and how efficiently it performs. In addition to a major and minor, the accounting department offers a combined bachelor’s and master’s degree program.

Program Details

Our mission is to educate distinctive accounting students by providing high-quality educational programs that combine theory and practice within a Catholic and Marianist environment. We are committed to educating the whole person by integrating learning, scholarship, leadership and service, preparing our graduates to add value to employers and society.

Program Outcomes

To meet the growing demands of the accounting field, our program encompasses a wide range of curricular and extracurricular components, emphasizing the demands of a complex professional environment. The curriculum focuses on integrating technology, globalization and ethics, preparing you for success in our global economy.

A unique benefit of our accounting program is that you can combine our undergraduate work with our innovative MPAcc program, a beneficial option if you wish to complete the 150-hour CPA exam requirement of most states. As a full-time student, you will be able to complete the combined degree program in five years or less, or with careful planning in four years. Modifications to this program allow you to pursue a second undergraduate major or minor without increasing total degree requirements. Double majors or minors in entrepreneurship, finance, international business, management information systems and operations management are especially popular.

The School of Business Administration’s undergraduate and graduate programs, including the undergraduate accounting program, are accredited by AACSB International — The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): A minimum score of 70 on the Internet-based (iB) test is required for full admission. Please note that many majors require a minimum score of 80. International English Language Testing System (IELTS): A minimum overall band score of 6.0 is required for full admission. Please note that many majors require a minimum overall band score of 6.5. International Test of English Proficiency (iTEP). A minimum overall score of 4.0 is required for full admission. Please note that many majors require a minimum score of 4.5. Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE): A minimum score of 50 is required for full admission. Please note that many majors require a minimum score of 60.
