专业概况

In the Bachelor of Science in Sociology online program, examine sociological concepts, theories, and methods as powerful analytical tools for making connections between personal problems and larger social issues, and for understanding how communities are intertwined. Develop your ability to think critically about societies and learn to understand and appreciate behavioral and values differences among people.

This program includes a senior seminar capstone course. Elective coursework includes criminology, marriage and the family, the sociology of work and occupations, and popular culture. In this program, you will:

Study dominant-minority intergroup relations, prejudice, discrimination, and other intergroup processes

Study theories of social class, distribution of wealth, power, and prestige in the U.S.

Study technology and social change, analyze the interaction of technology and society, and study social issues that arise with technological advancement
