专业概况

In this one-year post-professional MA, you will have the opportunity to advance your skills and knowledge in occupational therapy by combining core courses in theory, research methods, and clinical practice with electives in areas like assistive technology, neurology, and pediatrics.

Students in this master of arts degree are professionals in the field looking to take their occupational therapy skills and knowledge to the next level.

After completing the one-year degree, you will be prepared to return to the workforce with an enhanced understanding of occupational therapy ethics, theories, research, clinical practice, and a broadened perspective of the field of occupational therapy. The degree also prepares you to sit for the NBCOT certification examination.

Careers and Outcomes Our post-professional MA prepares graduates to be leaders in the occupational therapy profession.

Upon completing the post-professional MA, you will be well-positioned to work as a researcher, health facility practitioner or administrator, faculty member for an international OT program, or health planner in government and public service agencies.

MA/OTD Single-Decision Option

If you already earned a bachelor's in OT, you have the option of pursuing your Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) and earning a master's during the educational process. After completing the MA, you can continue uninterrupted onto the OTD without having to submit another admissions application.
