专业概况

在这里学什么？ As a Cloud Computing student, you’d expect a lot of your learning to take place via technology, and you’d be right! Our Docklands campus has excellent computing resources, including specialised labs to study networking and operating system environments such as Windows and Linux.You’ll be given software tools for programming, database development, computer-aided software engineering, internet access and web-based development.But let’s not forget the personal touch, computer science may involve the study of robotics, but we’re not robots and neither are you. Our teaching staff will give you a great deal of personal attention and feedback as you get to grips with the course content. You’ll have a personal tutor to oversee your progress, module leaders for different parts of the course and tutors for each year group.We also have, as you might expect, a virtual learning environment to keep you connected with your tutors and fellow students.A significant proportion of your time will also be spent working in groups with your fellow students. Experience of group working is essential for graduates who wish to work in the IT industry.You’ll gain insights from our industrial partners through guest lectures and visits which ensure that you stay on top of what this dynamic industry demands.This programme addresses the key areas of systems administration, network security and cloud computing. Both areas are in high demand in the Tech industry.The programme aims to: • Develop competence in students in the application of cloud computing at a high level;• Provide students with a sound knowledge of the principles underlying standard applications of cloud computing; •Provide practical skills of applied cloud computing to inform commercial decisions.Accredited by the British Computer Society (BCS)We are part of AWS Educate and AWS AcademyStudents get access to free credits to Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud PlatformAs part of the course students get discounted certification vouchers.Placement year (Optional)

为来自中国的学生设计 Students must have passed one of the following: A recognised UK Foundation/Access Course (In exceptional cases) Year 12 students with outstanding grades (e.g. over 80% or over 500 in Gao Kao) can be considered (must have met subject specific requirements). Successful completion of year 1 of a Zhuanke/Dazhuan Diploma or Benke (bachelors).
