Business Management and Finance offers you the opportunity to gain a broad understanding of how organisations operate with a particular focus on financial institutions. A varied subject knowledge and a range of analytical and quantitative skills (including knowledge of professional software such as Bloomberg or Stata) will enable you to pursue a variety of attractive careers in the financial sector, business and elsewhere.The course will help you to understand the basic principles of business management, with the behaviour of households and businesses together with organisational behaviour and strategy being key themes of this course. Additionally, you will examine the behaviour of financial institutions, such as banks, hedge funds and portfolio managers, their instruments and how they interact in markets. You will learn analytical and statistical methods and techniques for addressing real world problems, data and policy-related issues.With access to professional software tools such as Bloomberg and Stata to analyse and interpret financial and business data, you will become confident in communicating complex information to a range of audiences. These skills and varied knowledge will open up highly sought-after career opportunities in businesses and the financial sector. You will also have the opportunity to take a placement year, entrepreneurship year, or year abroad between years two and three of your studies.

ABB-BBC courses = Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate with 80% overall plus Gaokao with 75%; BCC-CCC courses = Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate with 75% overall plus Gaokao with 70%; Applicants to courses with a subject specific requirement will be considered on an individual basis. OR an appropriate pre-university/ foundation year programme. IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each subtest.
