在这里学什么？ **Course description** Our three year LLB Law course (or four-years - including integrated placement year) is a qualifying law degree, developed with consultation from the legal profession. The core and optional modules enable you to tailor your studies to reflect your interests and career aspirations. This degree will give you more than legal knowledge. You’ll also develop essential professional and social skills to enhance your employability. You’ll also have the opportunity to undertake an extended research project (dissertation). The LLB is a qualifying law degree and focuses on law and legal practice in a commercial context. This degree is for those who want to become a solicitor or barrister. It has been designed to help you acquire the knowledge and skills needed to become a successful legal practitioner. A degree in law also provides an excellent foundation for other careers where legal knowledge is important, for example, taxation, human resource management, accountancy, regulation, and compliance. Year 1- This course is designed in the light of modern practice and will give you a critical understanding of law and its application. The first year provides the foundation for your law degree. Subject areas include the English Legal System, Contract Principles and Criminal Offences and Legal Theory. A strong emphasis is placed on developing research skills.Year 2 – The second year subject areas include Law of Torts, Land Law, International Human Rights Law and Intellectual Property Law.Year 3 - (optional) This is when you will undertake a professional placement or international study opportunity at one of our partner institutions.Year 4 – In your final year, core subject areas include Equity and Trusts and European Union Law. Optional subject areas include Company Law, Commercial Law and Competition Law.

We treat these applications in exactly the same way as other applications.
