专业概况

Financial institutions rely on a blend of mathematics, technology and finance to enhance and sustain their competitive edge. Be immersed in technology and financial mathematics and face up-to-the-minute industry challenges such as machine learning and big data processing. This MSc is run jointly by the School of Mathematical Sciences and the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science.

Career paths

There is increasing demand for numerate and technologically capable graduates from a wide range of top employers including investment banks, hedge funds, financial software companies, brokerage firms and consultancy firms. You will be qualified to take on mathematical roles in major organisations, including quantitative analysis, financial derivatives trading and risk management.
