专业概况

This is a broad, one year course that enables you to explore your skills and interests. The outcome enabling you to take control of, and make the right choice for your education and career. Very hands-on and practical, the course offers brilliant opportunities for exploring and experimenting within your chosen field based in the specialism of Performing Arts. You will develop a range of new techniques and skills, both academic and practical that will enrich and expand your depth and ability as a Performing Artist, be that as an Actor, Dancer, or a ‘triple threat’ musical theatre specialist. It is intended that those who do this course will progress into Higher Education fully equipped with the academic and practical toolkit to succeed to a high level. Learners will develop a disciplined, autonomous approach, key to success at Degree level.

Stage One: • Research Methods • Performing Arts Ideas Development • Performing Arts Techniques & Methods • Evaluation & Reflection Stage Two: • Performing Arts Research, Ideas & Development • Preparation for Progression in the Performing Arts Stage Three: • Performing Arts Project Proposal and Realisation Your course also includes GCSE or Functional Skills as appropriate in English and/or Mathematics. Possessing these skills will help you to progress in education, training and employment and make a positive contribution to the community in which you live and work. You will assemble a number of portfolios, with which to showcase your work and evidence the learning outcomes of the qualification. These portfolios are internally assessed and externally moderated as the course progresses. On successful completion of this course you could continue your studies by progressing onto a Foundation Degree in a Performing Arts related discipline.
