The combined Masters of Dietetic and Nutrition (MDN) and Premier Dietetic Internship (PDI) program at the University of Dayton is designed for Dietetics students who have completed their undergraduate degree from an ACEND-accredited didactic program in dietetics.

Upon the successful completion of both the MDN and PDI programs, students will be eligible to sit for the National Registration Examination to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).

Program highlights

Holistic teaching: You'll benefit from small class sizes, project- and community-based learning, focus on cultural competency, online and face-to-face learning, student reflection and critical analysis, simulation and case-study, and mentoring.

Integrative and interdisciplinary environment (diverse setting practice): Identifying and addressing nutrition issues is multifaceted and complex. You'll get the opportunity to work with faculty, students and professionals from multiple disciplines to examine and develop sustainable and effective solutions.

Evidenced-based practice: You'll be at the forefront of learning and development, by engaging in evidence-based practice. This is integral to professionalism, leadership and patient care.

Mission: Provide an interdisciplinary graduate degree in dietetics and nutrition in order to develop proficient and professional entry-level dietitian nutritionists who practice in diverse settings and are leaders in their field.

Vision: Our dietetic graduate students will thrive in an integrative and interdisciplinary academic environment where experiential-learning, professionalism, leadership, and evidence-based practice are at the forefront of student learning and development.

What can I do with this degree?

The Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential allows you to work in a variety of settings to provide medical nutrition therapy. RDNs can work in public health and community nutrition to provide both population-based and individual-based interventions. People who have earned the RDN credential can practice in the following professional settings:

• Integrative and functional medicine
• Long-term care dietitian

为来自中国的学生设计 In addition to a bachelor's degree from a recognized institution of higher learning, applicants should have exposure to a variety of research and analytical or critical methods during their undergraduate studies. Applicants should have earned a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative grade-point average on a 4.0 scale. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): A minimum score of 80 on the Internet-based (IB) test is required for full admission. International English Language Testing System (IELTS): A minimum band score of 6.5 is required for full admission. Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE): A minimum score of 60 is required for full admission.
