Progress in your nursing practice and prepare to deliver healthcare services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with the Master of Science in Nursing – Adult-Gero Nurse Practitioner online program from Northern Kentucky University. This fully online program equips you with the specialized knowledge and clinical experience you need to become a successful primary care nurse practitioner.

MSN core coursework includes fundamentals of theory and research for advanced nursing and evidence-based practice, advanced clinical pharmacology for APRNs, and analysis and application of health data, as well as interactive courses covering primary care and pharmacology. You will also explore the issues today's evolving healthcare system faces. In addition to core and NP practice, this 43 credit hour program provides a clinical residency and capstone course to synthesize your learning.

Once you graduate our CCNE-accredited program, you will be eligible to take the Adult-Gero Primary Care certification examination.

In this program, you will:

• Prepare for the Adult-Gero Primary Care certification exam and expanded practice opportunities to diagnose and treat patients from adolescence to geriatrics
• Critically analyze data for practice by integrating knowledge from arts and sciences within the context of nursing's philosophical framework and scientific foundation
• Use evidence-based practice to demonstrate advanced levels of clinical judgment, systems thinking, and accountability while implementing change to improve healthcare outcomes
• Integrate nursing science, educational frameworks, health policy, professional values and principles of business to implement initiatives that facilitate the highest level of advanced nursing practice
• Demonstrate sensitivity to diverse cultures and populations including patients and providers
• Analyze one's own behaviors and institutional practices and policies for coherence with principles of caring
• Demonstrate effective communication in order to facilitate nursing practice at an advanced level

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree at a regionally accredited institution with a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. English language requirement: TOEFL scores must meet a minimum standard score of 550 on the paper version, 213 of the computer-based version, or 79 on the internet based (iBT) version. Applicants submitting the IELTS must achieve a 6.5 on the general band portion.
