The Single Honours law programme is accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Bar Standards Board as a ‘qualifying law degree’ and thus satisfies the current academic stage of legal professional qualificationWith an impressive list of alumni practising law at the highest levels, this Single Honours programme is recognised as a qualifying law degree that will enable you to train as a solicitor or barrister after graduation.Our law degree examines law in its social, political, ethical, historical and international contexts. You’ll explore core legal subjects such as crime, torts, contract, land, equity and public law, developing your understanding of the rules which structure relationships between governments and citizens, and between private individuals. You’ll study principles and doctrines of English, European and International law and have plenty of opportunities to develop your practical skills. You can take part in both internal and external competitions in mooting (practising oral arguments), client interviewing, negotiation and could volunteer as a Community Legal Companion, within the innovative CLOCK programme or in our Divorce or Commercial Law Legal Advice Clinics.Your degree will also be of value in many other careers. After further study or training you might work as a company secretary, chartered accountant, tax advisor or in business. You might also work in the police service or pursue a career with a charity or in international relations.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students must have for Undergraduate Year 1: Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate PLUS Gaokao. ABB-BBC courses = Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate with 80% overall plus Gaokao with 75%; BCC-CCC courses = Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate with 75% overall plus Gaokao with 70%; Applicants to courses with a subject specific requirement will be considered on an individual basis. OR an appropriate pre-university/ foundation year programme. IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each subtest.
