专业概况

在这里学什么？ Our BEng Mechanical Engineering course is offered as either a three or four year course with integrated placement year. We are driven by the demands of industry to produce graduates with extremely strong engineering and scientific skills coupled to strong skills in project management, team work and commercial awareness. The fast-evolving nature of mechanical engineering means that future generations of graduates must embrace change and thrive on a love of innovation. The challenges and rewards for skilled engineers who can design, manufacture and manage advanced products and processes are greater than ever.Throughout the course we emphasise the need to be able to apply engineering knowledge, technical skill, strong management skills and innovation to successfully solve engineering problems. You can expect to work on major projects often in partnership with commercial engineering companies. Your studies will encompasses all of the fundamental disciplines of mechanical engineering. Our close links with industry and the broad basis of our degree programmes ensure our students’ attractiveness to a wide range of employers and enhance our graduate employment record. 为来自中国的学生设计 A LevelsBBB must include Chemistry and one other science subject from: Biology, Maths OR Physics.BBC must include Chemistry and one other science subject from: Biology, Maths OR Physics and B in Core Maths or Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).Students who are eligible for a contextual offer under the Aston Ready programme are required to meet the three A Level requirement, including Chemistry and one other science subject from: Biology, Maths OR Physics, but will receive a specific lower offer ( more details can be found here .uk/study/undergraduate/contextual-offer/index)Excluded Subjects: We welcome the following subjects as an additional A level, but not as one of the core three A levels - General Studies, Critical Thinking, Citizenship Studies.We welcome applications from students who have tried to improve their examination grades by taking resits and only your latest grades will be accepted. We treat these applications in exactly the same way as other applications.
