This is your opportunity to expose yourself to an intensive research environment. You will develop expertise in research and learn the concepts, methods and skills required to apply knowledge with creativity and initiative to new situations. The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) is awarded on the basis of independent supervised study that produces a substantial piece of research as judged by independent experts of international standing.

School of Nursing and Midwifery

The Griffith School of Nursing and Midwifery is committed to the development of nursing and midwifery practice, theory and research that transforms lives and health care. We develop remarkable graduates imbued with a solution-focused philosophy who make a positive difference in nursing, midwifery and healthcare, transforming the lives of those in their care.

Through developing research, consultancy and continuing education opportunities, we seek to serve the nursing and midwifery professions, the health care system and the broader community.

The School of Nursing and Midwifery offers students the opportunity to undertake research-based degrees. The School's key research strengths led by several professors and associate professors are in the areas of: acute and critical care; ageing and older people; health professional education; knowledge translation; midwifery, maternity, newborn and family; patient safety; vascular access devices and infusion therapy; and women’s health and wellness. The School provides an excellent research culture that supports Higher Degree Research (HDR) students developing and progressing relevant and innovative research.

为来自中国的学生设计 For standard entry into most master degrees, you must hold a bachelor degree or higher (or equivalent) from a recognized university. You must meet minimum Grade Point Average entry requirements. IELTS: minimum score of 6.5, with no subscore less than 6.0 or TOEFL: a minimum score of 575 or Internet-based (IBT) TOEFL: a score of 79 (no sub-score less than 19) or Pearson Test of English (Academic): an overall score of 58 with no score less than 50 or ISLPR: no score less than 3+ in each skill of the ISLPR.
