Develop practical and theoretical skills across all areas of chemistry, ready to tackle major challenges and leading to a range of careers.

As a chemist, you can move seamlessly between areas such as sustainable chemistry, drug development and materials. This course has the broadest range of subjects of all our chemistry courses.

Placement

Going on placement gives you the opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge to a year working in industry. You’ll be employed full-time in a role to match your future career ambitions, broadening your experience and transferable skills. This could give you a competitive edge when applying for graduate jobs.

Placement opportunities can't be guaranteed but you will receive tailored support from our specialist team to help you secure a placement.

Prepare for your future

A wealth of career opportunities are open to you as a chemistry graduate. You could go on to work in technical areas, or scientific research and development in materials, pharmaceuticals, energy and the environment. You’ll also be well suited to broader roles in education, scientific publishing, patents, administration and finance, or further study such as a PhD or PGCE.

为来自中国的学生设计 AAA or A*AB in three A levels including A in one of: Biology, Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Mathematics, Physics, Psychology or Statistics.If you are taking a GCE A level in a science subject, you will need to pass any separate science practical endorsement.Alternate offer: AAB in three A levels including A in one of: Biology, Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Mathematics, Physics, Psychology or Statistics plus one of:grade A in an EPQ,grade B in the Welsh Baccalaureate Advanced Challenge Certificate,grade B in a Core Mathematics qualification,grade B in AS level Mathematics or Statistics.If you receive an offer for this course and are studying one of these qualifications you will be given both the typical and alternative offer. If you are taking a GCE A level in a science subject, you will need to pass any separate science practical endorsement.
