Overview

This course prepares you for the challenge of staying up to date with the unpredictable, fast-paced business world. The programme aims to develop a new kind of business professional for the 21st century, as alive to their social responsibilities to the community as to the needs of their investors, shareholders and employers.

The programme develops your leadership skills in relation to decision-making, problem-solving, teamworking, negotiation and employee performance management. It produces graduates who can pursue operational line management positions in a range of diverse organisations, including public, private and non-profit, as a stepping stone to senior management positions.

This course is designed to integrate a deep understanding of the subject matter with the development of key skills and competencies needed, allowing you to adapt to a rapidly changing, dynamic and competitive global marketplace. Upon completion, you will be able to:

• Communicate effectively through a variety of media to facilitate organisational and business goals.
• Use analytical skills to make judgments and decisions, and deploy problem-solving methods in dynamic and changing environments.
• Analyse market and organisational conditions to identify and deploy tactics, operations and strategies to drive success.
• Establish personal and organisational values, ethics, behaviours and patterns of actions that engender trust, respect and collaboration.
• Demonstrate the ability to foster constructive professional and personal relationships to achieve organisational goals.
• Apply problem-solving methods to address both market and organisation-based problems with creativity and innovation.
