Overview

The course looks in depth at a range of core business areas, including accounting, marketing, operations and human resources. At the same time, you’ll gain a specialist in tourism, in which you’ll explore career planning in the tourism industry, passenger tourism transport, visitor attraction management, strategic tourism planning and responsible tourism.

This field of study provides a balanced view of tourism as a business in addition to equipping you with essential graduate skills. It also provides you with an understanding of the impacts that tourism has economically, socially and environmentally on both a domestic and international scale.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion, you will:

• Demonstrate knowledge of concepts and procedures relating to business functions and processes.
• Use analytics to make judgments and decisions, and deploy problem-solving methods in dynamic and changing environments.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the knowledge and skills required to practice as a professional in the tourism industry.
• Integrate a broad and coherent, elementary, theoretical and operational knowledge of tourism as an interdisciplinary field of research and practice.
• Apply cognitive skills to collect, analyse and synthesise information to develop and evaluate solutions for straightforward tourism problems.
