专业概况

在这里学什么？

According to the White House, an additional 100,000 STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) teachers are needed over the next 10 years. The BA in Biology and MST in Adolescent Education helps fill that gap by preparing students to teach mathematics to middle and high school students (grades 7–12).

At the undergraduate level, students will complete a major in mathematics, developing their critical-thinking, problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills. At the graduate level, candidates will gain the pedagogical knowledge, skills, and disposition necessary to become a successful classroom teacher and complete the educational components required to fulfill the requirement for the initial and professional certificates in mathematics.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students must have a diplomas and leaving examination scores from secondary and post-secondary schools (in English). In general, a minimum TOEFL score of 80, a minimum IELTS score of 6.5, or a Pearson PTE academic score of 54 is sufficient to demonstrate the required proficiency in English for admission directly into Pace University programs.
