Our BA in Film and Screen Studies uses an innovative approach devoted to the analysis of film, its history, and the way it has impacted our world, offering students a strong foundation in film history, film analysis and film theory, as well as hands-on exposure to the technological aspects of film production and cinematic storytelling techniques and traditions through the use of professional 16mm film and HD video camera packages, lighting, and studio equipment.

Whether or not you decide to make film a central part of your career path, your analytic and communications skills will make you an asset to any prospective employer.

In this program film is seen as both an object of study and a methodological tool used in a variety of disciplines. Note that because the program involves courses offered in other departments, some of which can be "double-counted" towards both the FSS major and another Dyson BA major, close advisement from the FSS program director is required.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students must have a diplomas and leaving examination scores from secondary and post-secondary schools (in English). In general, a minimum TOEFL score of 80, a minimum IELTS score of 6.5, or a Pearson PTE academic score of 54 is sufficient to demonstrate the required proficiency in English for admission directly into Pace University programs.
