专业概况

The combined degree in Adolescent and Special Education program, resulting in a BA/MSEd degree at the end of five years, will prepare candidates to teach in students in grades 7-12 with and without learning differences and disabilities. Consistent with the School of Education’s conceptual framework, candidates will receive rigorous training to teach the intricacies of a subject area—biology, chemistry, earth science, English, history/social studies, or mathematics—and gain a deep understanding and in-depth knowledge of the practices to masterfully engage all students. Within a 33-credit program of study, candidates can choose to receive either a middle school extension or bilingual extension by completing two elective courses.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students must have a diplomas and leaving examination scores from secondary and post-secondary schools (in English). In general, a minimum TOEFL score of 80, a minimum IELTS score of 6.5, or a Pearson PTE academic score of 54 is sufficient to demonstrate the required proficiency in English for admission directly into Pace University programs.
