专业概况

According to the National Council for Learning Disabilities, 2.4 million students are diagnosed with learning disabilities (like dyslexia, dyscalculia, and issues with executive function) and receive special education services in schools, representing 41% of all students receiving special education across the United States. These students require teachers who can help them understand and process classroom content and curricula so that every student can be successful and master content.

Pace’s MSEd in Special Education prepares you to empower student success in the fastest-growing area of the education profession. You will gain enhanced knowledge of learning disabilities and differences, as well as the methods and strategies to increase your effectiveness in the classroom. You will develop your skills and expertise in implementing inclusionary practices, and differentiated instruction techniques to help students with special learning needs and styles become successful and lifelong learners.
