专业概况

在这里学什么？

The Science program enables students to participate in quantitative and scientific decisions that influence the quality of contemporary life. The major requires students to take courses in biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics to insure a breadth of exposure, while at the same time requiring a concentration in one of these areas at the upper-division level. A minor is required.

General Education Requirements:

• One course in art, music, performance, or aesthetics
• One course in English or a foreign language
• Philosophy
• One elective chosen from the arts, aesthetics, foreign language, humanities, philosophy, or religion
• One course in American history or government
• Two electives, representing different disciplines, and chose from economics, history, political science, psychology, or sociology
• Two courses selected from disciplines within the College of Arts and Sciences.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students must have high school diploma; A high school grade point average of at least 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale). Maryville University requires that students provide proof of English proficiency for study at the University. The following are acceptable means of providing proof of English proficiency: TOEFL: 69 overall with no sub score lower than 15, or IELTS: 6.0 with no sub score lower than 5, or DET: 40, or PTE ACADEMIC: 47, or ELS Center: Level 112 completed with a 2.5 grade or better, or U.S. University/College Study: English Composition 104 equivalent with a “C” grade or better. English for non-native speakers does not qualify, or A Level: 1 “A” grade or better in English or 3 “B” grades or better in subjects other than Math
