专业概况
在这里学什么？The theatre arts program is based on a liberal arts curriculum that requires majors to participate in the full undergraduate core, read extensively in the field and acquire a solid and broad-based knowledge of the fundamental principles of the art form.
Theatre is a collaborative art and, while majors may specialize in one area of the theatre arts (design, performance, literature, etc.), we believe that our students are best served by understanding all aspects of creative production. In keeping with the Jesuit mission of the college, our program is committed to educating the whole artist and giving theatre students the tools to lead and succeed in the theatre and the community.
Program Highlights
Our majors have the opportunity to double major in other disciplines such as English literature, peace and global studies, creative writing, political science and many others. Community outreach is emphasized through an Applied Theatre class, allowing our students to interact with, inspire and educate our neighbors. Students are consistently encouraged to hone their craft beyond the Heights, with opportunities to study, train, perform and travel abroad with programs in Italy, Ireland, and more.
