专业概况

在这里学什么？

Becoming a teacher starts with having a great education. The BA in History and MST in Adolescent Education will fully-prepare students to teach social studies/history to middle school students (grades 7–12).

At the undergraduate level, students will complete a major in history, with concentrations in U.S., European, and world (Asian, African, Latin American, and Middle Eastern) histories, gaining comprehensive background in your major. At the graduate level, candidates will complete the educational components required to fulfill the requirement for the initial and professional certificates in social studies/history.

Pace’s close partnerships with area schools means that we are often one of their first contacts when they have job openings—giving you an edge in today’s job market.

Undergraduates who declare majors in certain arts and sciences subjects and are interested in pursuing a career teaching adolescents are encouraged to meet with their undergraduate department chairs for details about this accelerated program. It offers eligible students an opportunity to earn dual degrees: a Dyson College BA from Dyson College of Arts and Sciences in a content area, and a MS in Teaching Adolescents from the School of Education.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students must have a diplomas and leaving examination scores from secondary and post-secondary schools (in English). In general, a minimum TOEFL score of 80, a minimum IELTS score of 6.5, or a Pearson PTE academic score of 54 is sufficient to demonstrate the required proficiency in English for admission directly into Pace University programs.
