专业概况

A BS in Biology prepares you to pursue further opportunities in both scientific industries and graduate school programs.

Our BS in Biology will allow you to contribute your knowledge in today’s advancing scientific fields. You will be able to continue on to study medicine, dentistry, physical therapy or veterinary medicine at a professional school, or work in related fields such as medical, biotechnological, and environmental companies. Graduates have gone on to work at organizations including the Hospital for Joint Diseases, Scarsdale Physical Therapy, Hudson Pointe, and more.

This major prepares students for further education either in professional schools such as medical, dental, osteopathy, or veterinary medicine, or in scientific graduate school doctoral degree programs. The curriculum includes Biology Core courses, Math & Science courses, and Biology elective courses in several categories.

Students are required to pass a comprehensive examination given as part of BIO 490 that assesses the ability to integrate and synthesize basic concepts in Biology.

In general, a minimum TOEFL score of 80, a minimum IELTS score of 6.5, or a Pearson PTE academic score of 54 is sufficient to demonstrate the required proficiency in English for admission directly into Pace University programs.
