The BS in Behavioral Neuroscience will allow you to be highly competitive for medical school, graduate studies in biology, neuroscience, psychology, computer science, and other fields, as well as jobs in pharmaceutical companies, biotech startups, education, psychology, counseling, science advocacy and administration, science writing, public health and government work, patent law, and more.?

Behavioral neuroscience is one of the fastest growing disciplines today, emerging from incredible recent advances in molecular biology, genetic engineering, brain imaging, neuropharmacology, computer science, psychology and other disciplines.

Advances were made in treating various neurological, mental, and behavioral disorders, from pain and blindness, to ADHD, or Parkinson’s disease. Today, thanks to advances in genomics, stem cell research, and genetic engineering, we are moving to the realm of personalized treatments.

Advanced behavioral testing and neuroimaging, combined with cutting-edge technology, have allowed patients to use brain implants to stimulate specific brain regions and elicit a memory, or improve mood. Behavioral neuroscience is even used to design artificial intelligence.

In the realm of public advocacy, behavioral neuroscience is helping shape policies on treating rather than prosecuting addiction, defining brain death, and providing insights into the mental capacities of juveniles or the mentally unfit – all critical ethical and moral issues facing our society today.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students must have a diplomas and leaving examination scores from secondary and post-secondary schools (in English). In general, a minimum TOEFL score of 80, a minimum IELTS score of 6.5, or a Pearson PTE academic score of 54 is sufficient to demonstrate the required proficiency in English for admission directly into Pace University programs.
