Pace’s BA in Peace and Justice Studies (PJS) merges the field’s growing theoretical principles with the practical experience necessary to succeed in the real world. Pace’s PJS major is centered around three fundamental pillars—research, action, and education. Through these primary values, Pace strives to nurture and position future peace and justice leaders for success during this critical juncture in our country’s history.

With Pace’s strategic NYC location and the corresponding wealth of opportunities, there is arguably no better place in the country to engage in peace and justice studies. Currently, our PJS major is the only one of its kind offered in Manhattan. In class, students examine direct, structural, symbolic, and environmental violence; social justice; nonviolence and conflict transformation; conflict resolution techniques; and interdisciplinary perspectives on peace building and peacemaking. Outside the classroom, students intern with social service and government agencies, engage in community and social activist movements, and volunteer in the field through our Center for Community Action and Research.

This program is an interdisciplinary major. It examines direct, structural, symbolic and environmental violence; social justice; theories and practice of nonviolence and conflict transformation; conflict resolution techniques including negotiation, mediation, and facilitation; and interdisciplinary perspectives on peace building and peace making. This program reflects Pace University's commitment to theory and practice in this interdisciplinary field and is consistent with the University's institutional mission of civic engagement and global citizenship.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students must have a diplomas and leaving examination scores from secondary and post-secondary schools (in English). In general, a minimum TOEFL score of 80, a minimum IELTS score of 6.5, or a Pearson PTE academic score of 54 is sufficient to demonstrate the required proficiency in English for admission directly into Pace University programs.
