A BA in Women’s and Gender Studies will shape the way you look at the world, whether you decide to start your career, or go on to graduate studies.

Our Women’s and Gender Studies program emphasizes gender (femininities and masculinities) while including other categories of analysis such as race, class, and sexuality. By reexamining history, literature, and other disciplines, from a feminist and/or queer perspective, this program seeks to understand sex roles and stereotypes of women and men in past and contemporary societies, women’s special concerns, and the representation of gender and sexuality in the arts and humanities.

Graduates find job opportunities in a variety of fields, including government, communications and media, law, human services, research, international relations, public health, and other career fields.

The WGS major is an interdisciplinary one completed in 36 credits. This major supports double-majoring in another Dyson B.A. program. Up to 18 credits in the WGS major (including approved courses from other academic disciplines) may be "double-counted" towards both the WGS major and the second Dyson major as long as both are BA degree majors.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students must have a diplomas and leaving examination scores from secondary and post-secondary schools (in English). In general, a minimum TOEFL score of 80, a minimum IELTS score of 6.5, or a Pearson PTE academic score of 54 is sufficient to demonstrate the required proficiency in English for admission directly into Pace University programs.
